Privacy Policy
We collect what we need to sell you a course and let you log in to it. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
1.Who is responsible
One80 Consultation LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, operating One80 Academy, is responsible for the personal information described here.
Contact: academy@one80consultation.com ยท 5010 Mayfield Road, Suite 304, Lyndhurst, OH 44124
2.What we collect
- Account information. Your name and email address, and the licence key issued to you. We do not use passwords.
- Purchase information. What you bought, when, the amount, and a transaction reference. We do not receive or store your full card number. Payment is handled by Stripe, Inc., which collects your card details directly.
- Course usage. Which lessons you have opened and marked complete, your progress, and any highlights or notes you save.
- Technical information. IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, collected through server logs and analytics.
- Course activity. Which lessons you mark finished, the passages you highlight, the last lesson you opened, and a random identifier for each browser or device signed in to your licence.
- Anything you send us. Emails, support messages, and information you choose to include in them.
If you only download a free tool such as the Triangle Self-Assessment, we collect your email address and nothing more.
3.Why we use it
- To give you access to what you bought and to keep your progress
- To take payment and keep records required for tax and accounting
- To answer support requests
- To email you about the course, including new modules and material updates
- To detect account sharing, fraud and abuse
- To understand which parts of the course are used and improve them
Where we rely on consent, such as marketing email, you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. Transactional email about a course you own is not marketing and will continue.
4.Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to run the business, and only for that purpose. These include our payment provider (Stripe, Inc.), hosting provider, email provider and analytics provider.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of the business.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
5.Cookies
Signing in to a course sets two necessary cookies: one that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and one that identifies your browser for the five device limit. The signed-in course pages do not load analytics or advertising tags. Our public pages, including the course sales page, use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to measure traffic and advertising, and those can set cookies. You can block them in your browser or with a blocker.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block necessary cookies you will not be able to log in to a course.
6.How long we keep it
Account and course progress information is kept while your account is active. Purchase and tax records are kept for as long as required by law, which is generally seven years. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.
If you ask us to delete your account, we will do so, except for records we are legally required to keep.
7.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Opt out of marketing email
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not do either
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
To exercise any of these, email academy@one80consultation.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, and we may need to verify your identity first.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our lawful bases are performance of a contract (providing the course), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the course), consent (marketing), and legal obligation (tax records). You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
8.International transfers
We operate from the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. If you access the course from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
9.Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords and limiting who can access accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10.Children
One80 Academy is intended for business owners and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, email us and we will delete it.
11.Other sites
Courses link to third party websites and tools. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them your information, and note that this applies with particular force to any AI tool discussed in a course.
12.Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always posted here with its date. Material changes will be notified by email to account holders.
Workbooks you download carry your name, email address and a licence reference, on the page and in the file. This is to discourage redistribution. If you print or share a workbook, that information goes with it.
